Dr.B.Chidhambara Rajan was born at Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli. He obtained his Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communications engineering, Masters degree in Microwave & Optical engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. He has 29 years of teaching experience in government and reputed private institutions. He is a member of professional societies like IEEE, IETE, IEI, ISTE, CSI, ISOI, etc. He has published several technical papers in national and international journals and conferences. Presently he is also serving as member of National Executive Council of ISTE, Chairman of Kancheepuram Chapter, Computer Society of India (CSI) and Academic Council advisor of National Cyber Safety and Security Standards.

People relying on yesterday’s idea have no chance of survival in today’s competitive environment where change is at the speed of thought. The pace of change requires continuous improvement and constant learning. Keeping this in mind, we at SRM VEC train our students to be fully prepared for the challenges of the future. Shri M. Murugan was born on 21st April 1968, graduated in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Madras in April 1989, received his Masters in Electronics & Telecom Engineering and Ph.D. from the University of Pune in May 2001 and July 2010 respectively. He has over 31 years of experience in teaching the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Students in the specialized fields of Microwave, Antennas, Optical Communication Satellite Communication and EMI&C. He is a Fellow of IETE and Member of ISTE, IEI, ISOI, SEMCEI, SSI, CSI and ISCA. In his credit, he has over One Hundred and Twenty Six (126) technical papers published in National / International repute Conferences / Journals.

Dr. M. Murugan was the Convener of International Conference on Smart Automation in Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ICSA2K19) held in 2019. Convener of 1st & 2nd ‘National Conference on Microwave and Millimeter wave Communications [NCMMC-2013 & 2015]’ and Co-Convener of the National Conference on Broadband Communication Systems [NCBCS 2006] and the National Seminar on Inducting a New Faculty. He was the Chief Coordinator of two AICTE-ISTE approved Short Term Training Programs (STTPs).

Professor M. Murugan Authored Four text books entitled ‘Mobile Communication Systems’, ‘Communication Systems’, Optical & Microwave Communication’ and ‘Wave Theory & Antenna’ for Diploma & Degree level students. He is an approved Ph. D. Supervisor of the Anna University, Chennai and Sathyabhama University, Chennai and already Guided Seven Ph.D Scholars to receive their Degrees and currently, he is guiding Four candidates. Further, he has reviewed the Ph.D Thesis of many Indian Universities, in addition to reviewing papers for Conferences and Journals. He is serving as Honorary Editor in Chief of i-manager’s Journal of Wireless Communication and Networks. He has delivered Expert Lecture / Key Note Address on various topics and also served as Session Chair for many Conferences held in India.

In 2016, he received the ISTE – Anna University National Award for an Outstanding Academic. In 2018, he was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award by NGI, CBE and in 2020; he received the IETE-Prof.K.Sreenivasan Memorial Award. He is a multilingual & can speak English, Hindi, Marathi and Tamizh.

Valliammai Society is registered vide S.No. 203 of 1981 under Societies Registration Act, 1975. The Valliammai Society was founded by Dr.T.R.Paarivendhar, a well known educationist, and philanthropist. This society was set up as a tribute to the memory of his mother Tmt. R. Valliammai, under whose care and guidance he attained greater heights in his personal development and whose ideals still continue to inspire him.

The Valliammai Society runs several educational institutions. The Flag Ship of this society is the SRM (Sri Ramasamy Memorial) Group of Institutions, named after his father, Thiru. Ramasamy. Dr. T.R. Parivendhar, the Founder of this prestigious group started his career, as a teacher and by sheer dedication and involvement rose up to the present position, the Chancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai, rendering yeomen services to the society. He thus, dedicated his life to the cause of education.

Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, Founder of the SRM Group of Institutions is ably assisted by Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo as the Chairman of the SRM Group of Institutions and Tmt. Easwari Pachamuthu as the Treasurer of the Society.

The college is administrated by team of academicians and professionals. The college administration is ably well-administered by Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo as the Chairman, Tmt. R. Padma Priya as Vice-Chairman, Ms. R. Harini as the Correspondent under the guidance of Founder Dr.T.R.Paarivendhar.

The Governing Body will meet twice in a year and provide suitable advice, guidance including approving budgets, additional courses and for other developmental activities of the college.
